be used to 是類似因為漸漸的習慣一種方式 , 比較被動式的 .
Eg: You should be used to the way of life in India since you've been here for
a year now.

was used to 比較像本來很習慣怎樣怎樣的方法 or 方式 etc., 可是後來可能因為某些
事情習慣改變了 .

Eg: He was used to using spoons and forks while eating, but having been in
Taiwan for the last five years, he's learned to use to chopstick.

應該是 used to(沒有be)
也就是在說以前習慣..但現在不是了
be used to Ving
used to V.

"was used to" is the past tense of "be used to".

"I am used to people staring at me."

"I was used to the lifestyle there, but that was a long time ago. I
don't think I could become used

不可以。

bad example....

used to V 是指過去的一般狀況, 如:
He used to live in this house.
這不是"他以前習慣住在這兒", 而是"
他以前住在這棟房子 (現在沒有了)".
在台灣, 不知道為什麼老把 used to
翻成"過去習慣於", 那是天大的錯誤.

be/get used to Ving 是"習慣"的意思.
He is used to swimming for one hour every morning now.
這句話就是"他現在習慣每天早上游一個小時泳"
的意思. was used to 是 be used to 的過去式.
有一句很有趣的話: It takes some getting used to.
