The expression is "He is toast" meaning "He is defeated". This is American
slang (I believe). We don't say "toasted".

It is American slang and it belongs to teen slang.
What do you mean by "we"?
Sometimes people say "toasted" instead of "you are toasted".
Like, "busted" = "you are busted".
