^^請問這裡改成單數會影響原意?

一門/堂課(不翹課/準時交作業)，其他門/堂不必(光這個就很奇怪了)。然後這個
(不翹課/
準時交作業)的課是哪個呢？文裡也沒有交代，因為語意過於模糊所以不恰當(也不
符合實際情形)

但是如果改成

Students at the university should attend class regularly and hand it their....
^^^在這裡某書卻是正確的?
我該如何判斷語義?

另外請教一下someone left his stove on back in his apartment.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^這裡的stove是指暖爐嗎?

我查了Google Books(books.google.com)還真的有(比"attend classes"少些，單
是差距不是很大)。

這時候的用法類似"go to school"，"attend class"就是指"上課"這個動作，意思
和"attend classes"沒差別，說法不同而已。

stove可以是很多種類，要看內文才知道(我第一個念頭是煮菜用的stove)
