這邊的like 事當連接詞嗎?
另外his father 後面是否省略is

另外 lawyer後面有沒有加逗點 語意上 有差嗎?

"is" or "was" (the latter implying his father is retired or dead). But these
are optional.

There's a difference.

With a comma, it means he simply wants to be a lawyer. His father was a
lawyer, and he wants to be a lawyer too.

Without a comma, it means he wants to be the same kind of lawyer that his
father is/was. His father was, for example, a highly ethical lawyer, or a
successful corporate lawyer, and he wants to be the same kind of lawyer.
