前者偏重向於「地區/地域意義的位置」（可接地址），後者偏向用於「環境形勢的位置」

在表面上的用 on ，在裡頭的或是大範圍區域裡頭的用
in，還有其他，不是固定的on或是in

The prep. depends on the word following "in" or "on" (or others).

e.g.
The school is located in San Diego.
The church is situated by the beautiful lake.
The camp is located next to the forest.
The office is situated on the 1st floor of the building.
