John, an English teacher at NTU in Taiwan, has visited Germany two years ago,

England last year and this years, and Hungary three years ago.


has / have + p.p. 用來修飾「已經發生過的事情」
為什麼我不能這樣使用而必須要用 visited?
因為我想要強調 '曾經已經去過' 所以我使用 pp..
可是老師(Native speaker of english) 卻說現在已經不存在這個事實,因此不可以使用


I am quite confused! Could anyone analyze it for me please? :(

You can't use the present perfect with a specific time in the past.

Right: "I have visited England."
Wrong: "I have visited England three years ago."
Right: "I visited England three years ago."

You can't use the present perfect with a specific time in the past.
Right: "I have visited England."
Wrong: "I have visited England three years ago."
Right: "I visited England three years ago."

With present perfect, the emphasis is that there is such and such experience.
The details of the time the experience happened is unclear or possibly not
important.

With simple past, the focus is when the event happened. Note that it would
sound quite weird if you said with no context "I visited England".

Hope this helps to further explain.
