Thanks a lot!"
所以我覺得應該寫成 a lot of thanks
再不然就寫成 thank you a lot才對

"thank" is a Vt.
"thanks" is a Noun or an Interj.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Thank you a lot.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot.

Thanks

"thanks" is short for "thank you".
And, therefore, "thanks" is more informal than "thank you".

A common English usage mistake in Taiwan is to say "Thanks God". This is
too informal, and the meaning is confused.

First, if "God" is the one you wish to thank, say "Thank you, God".
Formality is appropriate.

On the other hand, if you mean "a good thing happened because God did
something", say, "Thank God." It means "I thank God for that good thing."

For example: "My mother is feeling much better, thank God."
