如果改成"a class"恐怕會有些過於不合理...因為這可以解釋成:
一門/堂課(不翹課/準時交作業)，其他門/堂不必(光這個就很奇怪了)。然後這個
(不翹課/
準時交作業)的課是哪個呢？文裡也沒有交代，因為語意過於模糊所以不恰當(也不
符合實際情形)

你不會把這個teeth改成tooth吧？

There's nothing wrong with "attend class".
It's synonymous with "go to class".
