cafeteria:
a restaurant, __often in a factory, college etc__, where you choose from
foods that have already been cooked and carry your own food to a table


buffet:
1. a meal at a party or other occasion, in which people serve themselves
at a table and then move away to eat

So, you can hire a caterer and have a buffet at your home, but you can't
have a "cafeteria" (at your home).
