Though many people say "octopi", it's wrong. It's not a Latin word:
"octopus" is Greek ("octo" = "eight", pus" = "foot"). The Greek plural of
"pus" is "podes", therefore the plural of "octopus" should be "octopodes".

However, in English, the plural of "octopus" is "octopuses".
